Ohio Powerball Winner Claims Prize

Ohio – A gas station in Conneaut sold the winning Powerball ticket on July 9, 2014, and the winner has claimed her prize. Mary Ann Thompson of Conneaut won $124.9 million after she picked a perfect combination that matched all five numbers and the Powerball number in the July 9, 2014 Powerball game.

Thompson chose the cash option. After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 29 percent, she receives a check for $51,915,837. Calling it a very exciting time for herself and her family, Thompson said the win is a real blessing. She and her husband will use the money to help family.

True North at 381 State Street in Conneaut sold the winning ticket. The winning numbers were 9-25-42-55-57. The Powerball number was 14. True North receives a $100,000 bonus for selling a jackpot winning Powerball ticket.
