Six Powerball® players across the country won half a million dollars in last night’s Powerball drawing!
The winning tickets were sold in Arkansas, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia.
All six tickets matched four white balls and the red Powerball in the May 10 drawing.
The winning numbers in the May 10 drawing were white balls 21, 24, 33, 55, 69 and red Powerball 3. The Power Play® multiplier was 10.
Since the six tickets included the Power Play feature for an additional $1, their $50,000 prizes were multiplied by ten to $500,000!
In total, more than 99-thousand Powerball tickets had their winnings increase tenfold in last night’s drawing by including the Power Play® feature.
Normally, Power Play multipliers range from 2 – 5X. However, when the advertised jackpot is $150 million or less, a 10X is added to the field.
Note: the Match 5 + Power Play prize is always $2 million regardless of the multiplier drawn.
This was the first time the 10X has been drawn as a Power Play multiplier this year, and the 14th time the 10X multiplier has been drawn since it was introduced to the game.
