TALLAHASSEE- The Florida Lottery announces that one lucky Florida player matched all five numbers and the Powerball in the Wednesday, January 29, POWERBALL® drawing, winning the $396.9million jackpot. The POWERBALL jackpot rolled 24 times since the November 6, 2019, drawing and generated more than $33 million in contributions to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
The winning numbers were 9-12-15-31-60 and the Powerball was 2. The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven, located at 4520 Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs. The retailer will receive $100,000 for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
The Florida POWERBALL jackpot winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize. However, to elect the one-time, lump-sum cash payment option (in the amount of $276.5million,) the claim must be filed within 60 days after the winning draw date.
Wednesday night's POWERBALL drawing also produced one $1 million winner. The $1 million winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at M&S Food Store, located at 4400 West Sample Road in Coconut Creek. The retailer will receive $1,000 for selling the winning ticket.
The next POWERBALL drawing will be held Saturday, February 1, at 10:59 p.m. ET with an estimated $40 million jackpot. National POWERBALL drawings are broadcast live, in high-definition, from the Florida Lottery?s state of the art draw studio in Tallahassee.
