Baltimore, Md. – Melanie Wright of Baltimore left Maryland Lottery headquarters a happy woman after claiming a $50,000 third-tier prize from the Jan 29 Powerball drawing.

A veteran Lottery player, Melanie has tried her luck with Powerball, Mega Millions, Multi-Match, Pick 3 and Pick 4 for 20 years. Previously, the city resident had won only small amounts from the various drawings. The $6 quick-pick ticket she bought for this drawing delivered a far different outcome.

28 co-workers share $1 million Powerball prize in Minnesota

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – A group of 28, who work together in Coon Rapids and call their lottery pool “Team APG,” claimed a $1 million Powerball prize this afternoon. “If we had one more number, our group name would be ‘Retired,’” quipped one member.

“I had $1 million sitting on my desk since Saturday!” said Dustin Uran of Minneapolis, who purchases the tickets.

Rory Richards of Swampscott is the winner of a $1 million Powerball prize after the first five numbers on his ticket matched those selected in the game’s Saturday, January 11 drawing. 

Richards claimed his $1 million prize (before taxes) at the Massachusetts State Lottery’s Dorchester headquarters Friday, January 17.  His winning numbers were a combination of family birthdays and ages.

BATON ROUGE – Metairie residents Tammi and James Miller are the Louisiana Lottery’s newest millionaires, after winning $2 million during the Oct. 26, 2019 Powerball drawing.

“I saw on Facebook that someone in Metairie won $2 million on Powerball,” Tammi explained. “I didn’t think there was any way it could be my ticket though, so I took my time finding it.”
