The Powerball® jackpot has soared to an estimated $620 million; $354.3 million cash valuefor the Wednesday, Oct. 24 drawing. This is the third largest Powerball jackpot in game history and the sixth largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history!
The Powerball jackpot was last hit in New York in the August 11 drawing. Since then, there have been 20 Powerball drawings in a row without a jackpot winner.
The winning numbers for the Saturday, Oct. 20 drawing were white balls 16, 54, 57, 62, 69, plus Powerball 23, and Power Play multiplier 2X.
While there were no jackpot winners, nine tickets matched all five white balls. Seven of those tickets won a $1 million prize. Those tickets were sold in Arizona, Connecticut, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey and Washington. The two other tickets, sold in Florida and Tennessee, doubled the prize to $2 million by including the Power Play® feature for an extra $1.
Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 44 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET.
